In my previous post, I shared a set of Cross Stitch Birds with you. Now I can tell you those designs took some time and effort to complete. What I’m sharing with you today is a lot easier and is a budget-friendly wall art option that will look gorgeous in your home!
We went on holiday to Europe in 2012 and took some lovely photographs of the landscapes, cityscapes and flora while there. So when I was faced with a blank wall in our Master Bedroom, it was an easy decision to print out 2 of our favourites inexpensively and frame them.
I bought some distressed frames at Mr Price Home (similar, not sponsored). I usually do not purchase distressed items as I like clean lines better. But in this case, I loved the combination of the white and wood together, and it suited the photographs I wanted to use. These pictures are perfect, and they still make me smile.
These photos were taken at Schilthorn in the Jungfrau Region in Switzerland. We walked around just below the viewing deck. In between the rocks and a little bit of snow that was still left, we found these.
I took the photo above, and Marinus the one below. If you look closely at the bottom picture, you can see the tiny plants from the top photo in the background. These pictures are so fresh and crisp and are the perfect colours for our bedroom.
Art like this makes me happy, and it brings back wonderful memories of things that I love!
A Printable Set for Easy Wall Art
I’m giving you the two pictures above as well as five other pictures today. I hope you can use them in your home decor and that they will make you smile!
Cityscapes in The Netherlands
We visited family in The Netherlands and found this beautiful sky one night upon returning to our BnB. This is the Lange Jan Abbey Tower in Middelburg, Zeeland. It plays a chime every 15 minutes during the day and a beautiful song on the hour. I’ve visited Middelburg 3 times and climbed the tower to the top twice.
Black Forest in Germany
We took a trip to Titisee-Neustadt in Germany’s Black Forest. We bought a cuckoo clock there that we still have in our home. These charming boats were on the edge of the lake in the town.
Gorgeous Switzerland
We went for a boat trip on the Lake of Thun from Thun to Interlaken and came across the Oberhofsen Castle.
We stayed in the Lauterbrunnen Valley while in Switzerland and explored the region there. The last photo in the set is of a beautiful stream near Lauterbrunnen.
